The Dell Inspiron 1520 packs a speedy Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 802.11n and Sprint’s EV-DO Rev. Dell also goes the extra mile by offering 3GB of free online backup, the choice of ordering your system free of trialware, and–for the first time ever on a Dell consumer notebook–3G mobile broadband.The 15.4-inch (1680 x 1050-pixel resolution) display looked good from a variety of angles, whether we were surfing the Web, viewing photos, or working in Word docs.

Dell Inspiron 1520 Professional Reviews:
TrustedReviews Reviews the Dell Inspiron 1520 and gives out”Overall the Inspiron put in a creditable performance, though it lagged behind the slightly higher specified (and cheaper) Acer Aspire 5920 in most of the PC Mark 05 tests. A similar tale can be told from our in-house tests, where the Acer was significantly faster in Photoshop tests, but roles were reversed in the Virtual Dub test where the Dell was slightly quicker, though not by as great a margin.”
NotebookReview Reviews the Dell Inspiron 1520 and gives out”The Dell Inspiron 1520 is a beautiful and functional computer. The performance is really unmatched for this price, especially in such a sturdy and attractive package. However, the ordering process can be very unpleasant and can sour the fun and excitement of ordering and receiving a new laptop.
Pros:
* Gorgeous design
* Great specs
* Low cost
* Solid build
Cons:
* Confusing and complicated to order at the best possible price
* Larger and heavier than some other laptops in its class
* Flimsy latch
* Unattractive media buttons detract from overall appearance
* Silver interior may show wear more quickly”
