You should be able to.
Reading the manual should tell you which key combination to press to adjust the brightness but if you look at the keyboard you’ll find that a couple of keys will have a sun icon and an up or down arrow, pressing Fn in combination with one of those keys should change the brightness.
The power management options should also give you the ability to have it automatically change brightness depending on whether you’re on AC or battery power.
